Is my van worth fixing

2008 Vauxhall Combo with 150,000 miles
    Doe is due in October.

But it needs work. Cv joint needs replacing. Wheel bearing needs replacing. Back discs & pads need doing again even though I changed them only 7 months ago.

Van is worth maximum (if even) 1,500 euro.

Apart from that it's driving fine. New battery. Recently serviced. Fairly new tyres. Kept in good nick.

Anyways, does anyone know what it might cost to do the work required, and if it's worth fixing or just trade it in?

Any advice would be great. Thanks

Get a few quotes for the repairs and then see what you can get for the same money, plus trade in and whatever you can add. You'll be looking at the low end of working vehicles so finding something good will be difficult, whereas you know your van.

    Nothing massive there to fix.
If it's a good van, fix it.

Nobody is going to give you anything for it without test and needing repair so unless you are planning on buying something decent, fix it.

Cheers lads. I was half thinking of going up the years and maybe spending 5k if the van wasn't worth fixing but I just wanted to check that I wasn't throwing good money into bad. Cheers

How much mileage did you do in that 7 months to need new discs and pads? Are you sure the discs need doing again? Id imagine something is up if they need doing that soon.

knock another year out of it or test it and sell it

When I took the back wheels off to see if there was a bit of play with the bearing being gone I noticed it was very difficult to rotate the discs on both sides, and they were rubbing excessively in areas so I'm assuming the discs are warped.

Probably due to calipers being partially seized? I've only done about 6000 miles since then.
