what cars are people moving from into the model 3?

Also, what ICE cars were on your shortlist, if any?

Haven't bought yet but looking more likely that I will. Have a 520d touring and the Tesla M3, BMW M340i and a BMW 540i would be on my shortlist.

For everyone who has bought, what are you doing with your current car?

I am changing from Mercedes CLS AMG 63, not quite 18mpg and now about €130 to fill up. Also getting rid of the family car a Volvo XC60 D4 which is 2ltr diesel with a awful torque curve. Technically though that is being replaced by a Leaf as the new family carrier.

Both cars are worth more than the new ones we are getting so trade in is not really an option so I guess I will try private sales. I will wait and see what happens when Tesla call.

I did look at a couple if ICS cars, the Audi A7 and the Mercedes GLS. Also looked at some hybrids & PHEV’s but once tried the Leaf we knew that we would go electric

currently driving a 2009 skoda superb (had to remove car loan for my Ioniq due to house move)

Options being considered along with the model 3 after we move are an early maserati quattroporte, bentley Continental, audi q7 tdi, something american and v8+, bmw 7 series or m5 or x5m, range rover sport, a second hand performance model S or a standard range new model X

Or whatever else takes my fancy that week

Some fairly wild choices there, how many kids have you as the Q7 is standing out like a sore thumb there but a nice choice if you've 3 kids the rest won't cut it.

Ah yes that old chestnut. 2 kids. But I loooove chonky SUVs (hence the grá for a model X)
Honestly the list will vary wildly from week to week, I get bored very easily. I was considering the SR+ base model for cheaper repayments then buying a few of the others and insure as classics for that reason.

Velar and Macan for next weeks contenders : ). I don't think the X has that wow factor..it's a bit on the ugly side.
