Importing from NI?

With the reduced VRT on EVs, is there any merit in importing the cars from NI, where they seem to be a good bit cheaper.

I've tried checking on the citizen and tax sites for info on VRT % but I'm not having any luck. Has anyone imported?

There is no VRT charge on nearly all EVs you import, unless its a very expensive Tesla.
You get a €5k rebate, so your VRT would need to be over €5k to have to pay anything.

    I imported mine from UK.

I thought that the NI and UK EV prices were holding firm? Few bargains to be had?

As above with the NI prices higher than the UK due to a simple drive up and drive home.
I bought my last 2 EV’s in the il and a significant portion of all my cars in the I’m over the years.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Second hand EV prices in the UK have gone bonkers in the last 6 months or so. I doubt there's savings to be had importing one. Unless it's a car that's not available here much, like the Teslas.
