What happens when todays millenials become parents ?

The Rapture

Will they turn more right wing as previous generations when the realities of life's unfairness bites.
Will they allow gender undefined baby number 1 to spend 7 years dropping in & out of college arts courses ?

It's alright being idealistic when you don't have to face the dog eat dog real world.
I'm going to enjoy watching it all unfold.

This is nothing new, when all the Woodstock generation grew up we got Reagan.
In Ireland the Hippies and D4 Punks gave us more of the same. I think what we have currently is perfect for the influencer set, all show no trousers.

After WW2 that generation was fearful of their kids the baby boomers taking over.

Humanity peaked with Gen X anyway.

Millenial parent here. Still waiting for this "reality to bite" thing :rolleyes:

The indications are in fact that peoples' politicial and social outlooks don't tend to shift much after 25.

The reason we associate old fogies with conservatism is that even a liberal 60-year-old looks like Hitler compared to a progressive 18 year old. Talk to hippies from the woodstock generation and you'll find them surprisingly sexist, homophobic and ultra-capitalist. They didn't become like this, they always were. But they were liberal compared to their parents.
