How can I improve my advert?

    Hi all

I am selling my 2011 Ford Focus amongst the sea of other Ford Focuses.

It has been for sale for 2 weeks now and only one girl came to view it on her own, and was really a waste of time as she only contacted me through donedeal messenger and didnt look around the car at all or look at service history.

    Anyway, the advert is below
    donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/see-video-just-nctd-ford-focus-2011-sportnav/22010567

Some may say, that I should reduce price to sell it fasy, but it is priced similarly to the other Focuses.

The ad has been saved 22 times starngely yet only got 2 phonecalls that never turned into views.

Any advice on improving advert would be appreciated.

I would delete the video, it adds nothing. Delete the emojis and hashtags - that would put me off straight away.

The description is way too long. "Full service history from new with receipts" could replace half of it.

Your pictures are very good though - but change the main photo to the front of the car, not the back.

I think some part of the answer may lie in there. If you want it to stand out from the sea of other Foci then you may have to start with the price.

Like a race to the bottom?

I've built in haggling room at current price but should I just lower price to lowest price I'd take for it plus say 100 euro?

Get rid of the video, it's too much.

Photos are good, put one of the front of the car as the main pic. Change the one with the coffee cup on the inside too. Let people delude themselves into thinking nobody ate or drank in the car.

Too much detail regarding the recent work done. If I was interested I'd now be worried since the wishbone, the roll bar, bushing and belts needed doing; what else will need fixing?

Nobody but a car nut cares about the oil.

    How about this for wording......

And to add, here are a few cheaper ones:

And here is a 2012 newer shape model for not a huge amount more, granted is a bit more mileage:

The 4 you listed there are only cheaper by about 200 euro, with one being a basic style model, another looking like a boy racer car and one with a cracked or missing undertray.
My car has a comprehensive service history

The 2012 Focus is good value albeit higher mileage

Okay I never thought about that perspective.
I assumed it was a selling point. It's an 8 year old carand all these items are wear and tear items.

They were just ones I took as examples.

The service history is certainly a big plus but I'm not sure many buyers will pay that much extra for it. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that with so many of these cars for sale it's a buyers market so being aggressive with the price might be needed if you want to sell it quickly. If are not in a huge hurry to sell and it's only up 2 weeks then sit on the current asking price for a while. Just remember the time of year too, people tend to be focused on their holidays rather than buying cars now.

    Okay that makes sense, Thanks
