Florence to Venice - recommended stop(s)?

    Hi peeps!

    Family will be traveling from Florence to Venice soon and I was wondering if there was anywhere you'd recommend to break the journey. We will be passing Bologna and Ferrara but can't see anything that might excite the kids (aged 7 and 10).
