    Hey folks
Just wondering any recommendations for a weeks holiday end of August for a couple and a two year old

Thinking Spain or Portugal so the plane journey isn't to long ,
Just somewhere with a pool and nice apartments that has a quite town for a stroll around with the buggie,
    And decent spots to eat,

Don't want anywhere that has a full oo party strip

We went to Alvor as well with our 1 year old. Lovely spot. I'd say it would be very warm at the end of August though. We went in early June and it was low 30s so we had to stay inside during midday.

Cala D'ór in mallorca is lovely with toddlers. Hoping to try alvor in Portugal this year ourselves.

Another vote for Alvor. While it can get hot during the day, there's nearly always a cooling breeze at night, so the heat rarely gets too oppressive. And the people there (and the Portuguese in general) are very welcoming to children, so you are never made to feel uncomfortable if you bring a child with you to a restaurant. Plus there's a great beach in Alvor with a lovely boardwalk running along the beach and the river estuary and there's a huge range of reasonably priced restaurants to choose from.

The only drawback is that Alvor is very popular and you may struggle to find anywhere available at this late stage. Having said this, there is a page on a well known social media network where you can post queries about the availability of holiday accommodation in Alvor and you may be able to find someone with availability through this group.
