Hi I have a couple of these on house ,see pic. I hate them ....a lot of the time when you press them down either one , they simply fall out of the fitting. This one is down now and will not come up. Two things , I am trying to twist the circular part to get it off to see what issue is...not turning
What do i do.
Second is there a similar type if flush device that is reliable and can replace these type? Thank you

I had a similar issue with the thin springs under the buttons collapsing.

Due to water leak's, I replaced the whole flush system with these

See if the lid of the cistern can be lifted off as the buttons may not be secured between the lid and the flush mechanism.

Otherwise you should be able to get a screw driver into the side of the button holder and give it a small turn.
