Additional planning for house on existing folio

    Hi . Hopefully get some advice on this . Is it possible to seek planning permission on an existing folio ? We live on a 2 acre site with plenty of room for another house but don’t know if this is planning permission possibility?

    Generally (assuming rural area given that you have a 2 acre plot), there would need to be a housing need.
    Is it an additional house for family? Do you have a farm?

    Was the entire 2 acres included on site layout for the existing house?

    Not a farm . And was checking if the land could be divided up and made into a separate folio. Not for family , just to sell the land as a plot .

    I didn’t build the house originally but it’s just one folio that I can see .

    Yeah I would get professional advice of course but just checking if this scenario is even an option initially
