Fencing rule. Distance from road.

I have approval for Tams sheep fencing grant.

In one of the fields there is a bank next the road with a drain inside the bank in the field. The bank is over a metre wide and half a metre above the road height. There are bushes growing on the field side of the bank and only weeds/dirt on top of the bank. There are telegraph polls on the bank.

I was considering pulling the dirt off the bank with a digger and to help with leveling it and then putting the sheep wire and strand of barb wire on top of the bank.

Is there rule for distance that the fence needs to be kept back from the road?

I reckon ask the coco, AFAIK they don't like barbed wire along a road, in a crash it could do a lot of damage to a person.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
