    Hi guys,

I've a query i was wondering if anybody could help me with.

I left my previous job at the beginning of April and started a new job in May. I was due a lot of holiday pay which was finally paid to me last week. I got my payslip this week and out of the €1200 i earned, €520 was taken off in Tax (this is aside from USC +PRSI).

So my query as you might guess is, is this normal and just what happens? and is there anyway to claim this back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Your tax credits are against your new job. That means there are no tax credits against your old job.

If you were taxed too much you will probably see a partial refund through payroll from the new job.
