My lovely pea plants have a couple of cinnabar moths on the leaves. I assume they are laying eggs.
Just wondering do the catterpillars munch pea plants?
I know they love ragwort but not sure how my peas will fare.

The adults drink nectar and may be using the pea flowers for fod, and pollenating the peas. I've never seen the caterpillars except on ragwort and groundsel.

Same, well ragwort only in my case.
Cheers, they may well be off the hook.

I've only ever seen these on ragwort, near the coast.

Could yours be from the Burnet moth? Photo?

No it's cinnabar alright. Burnet has spots. I've only ever seen Burnet near the coast oddly.
