Flying into Rome (September)

    Hi folks

Going to a wedding in Rome in Sept. It's nearer to Fiumicino Airport but we will be flying across on the Wednesday before it, so will literally just get a night in our own hotel for that night and then onto the Wedding hotel on the next night.

Flights for Ryanair are working out well-cheaper for the Wednesday in comparison to Aer Lingus.

Is the airport for Ryanair wayyy out of the way or for the sake of a little bit longer travel to the hotel (compared to a shuttle from Aer Lingus to some hotels), would it be worthwhile getting the Ryanair flight?

The price difference probably pays for the Wednesday night hotel

Ciampino airport is actually closer to Rome centre than Fiumicino but exactly where your hotel is located will determine which airport will be handier for you.

Cool - I was gonna book a hotel for the night nearer to either one. I'll go with the Ryanair one just because of the large price difference.

For two of us is ends up €120 less than Aer Lingus combined. Can get a 3* for that night for €60 then which is all we need.

    Thank you

There are shuttle buses right outside the airport that bring you to termini station for only €5. Takes about 45 minutes.
Only annoying thing is you can wait a while for your bags there,
