My car was rear ended. The other driver is going to pay for repairs. It's going to be a pain without a car for a few days, but I can make do with the bus to work, if I can find a good repair place in D15 Blanchardstown area or D7 Navan Road area. Any recommendations, please?

Gabor Auto in Ballycoolin. Doesn't advertise anywhere, but very high standard of work for reasonable prices in my experience. Google will get you his number

You were rear ended, you’re not footing the bill. In this case, Soraghans, Navan road, near the halfway house, in Phoenix ind estate. Top class and grab a replacement car from them while undergoing repair.

Thanks for both replies, I'll ring the two places.

Also, say worst case scenario, I ring the other driver, he agrees the quoted cost to fix the vehicle, but then won't cough up when I meet to collect money. Meaning I have to go back to his insurance. What'll happen then?

I went with Soraghans last year when I was crashed into and they did a great job. Perfect matching of silver paint as well.

For insurance jobs, it's a no-brainer as they are the best in the business. When you have to fork out.....well, that's potentially a different story.

The plot thickens....did you report the accident to the guards? Please say you did.

Ring, get a quote, give it to the other driver, let him pay for it before work commences (explain this to the garage)..any humming or hawing from him/her and just get straight onto your insurance
