I've heard it's possible to get ex-corporate/business laptops for cheap sometimes. I was wondering if anyone knew where exactly and that delivers to Ireland.

I'd like to get something for development. So as good a processor with decent amount of RAM and an SSD. Don't need any graphics card and tbh gaming laptops tend to run hot and have crap battery.

Do a little research, e.g. the used ThinkPad buyer's guide or the ThinkWiki, etc.

Then hit Adverts/eBay and haggle for deals.

Also that abomination you linked is not a ThinkPad.

I picked up a 32GB i7 Precision laptop a couple of years ago from these lads; https://www.cruisetech.co.uk/ Arrived in good condition as advertised, still going strong and I found them decent to deal with over the phone and by email.

I wouldn't touch laptops-direct with a barge pole. Tried using them twice, one laptop arrived broken, the other never arrived and they cancelled the order without telling me. Worst computer company I've ever dealt with, have a look at their trustpilot entry; https://ie.trustpilot.com/review/laptopsdirect.ie
