I applied for the WFH spot at Shopify. I was contacted by email and given a task to complete. It was responding to a email where the customer had a problem.

I haven't heard back yet. Has anyone applied? What is the hiring process?

I had an interview with them a few years ago, I had to bulld a webpage using there site , simple stuff. I had a skype interview and it was ok , they are looking for a particalar type of person. A person that would go above and beyound for there customer. Safe to say I didnt get the gig.

How long have you been waiting for a response?

Send them a very polite e-mail asking for an update.

They are also looking for people to buy into their whole schtick. It's practically cult-like.

Heard back last week. Didn't get the job. The email said that I should try again in 6 months but never provided any feedback :D.

Was it very Shopify store related of was it basic support?

I've had my store for a while and keep getting emails inviting me to apply for jobs in support!

It was just basic support. I believe my internet connection let me down. It started dropping that very day. A tech had to come out and fix it. Are you going to apply?
