If you import a car from the uk and it had a manufacture date of 2011 but was first registered in the uk in 2012...... what plate would you get in ROI when you import it, 11 or 12?

12, the original registration date determines what registration plate you get.

There could be 5 years or more between manufacture and registration in some circumstances!
