Been debating trying to get one from the uk or here... Doesnt seem to be anything decent on donedeal etc but could be wrong but im not sure just wanted opinions from you guys. I have read reviews of them here and decided this is the car i will go for, 08-11 models. I am looking for petrol Saab 9-3 (aero would be nice) but what ones do you think are good examples. Anyone currently driving petrol models here? I have max 6k so should be plenty. My other car has kicked the bucket in the last week so im ready to buy now.

Anything you import will be on high tax because of emissions. VRT will be high too.

Setup your alerts on done deal and cars Ireland and be patient.

They come up for sale all the time.

You could also try Saab wisdom to see if they know of any.

Good luck with the search and enjoy the car..

There’s an owners group on Facebook. Always plenty for sale.

I've this saved on my dd account the last fortnight. I've a feeling it'd be a very genuine car and it's been owned by the same person since November 2011. Seems a lot of car for the money. Could be a good option for a low risk low investment purchase.

That said it mightn't be your cup of tea being a 95 .

It does look genuine but not for me. Prefer the look of the 9-3

My brother has a spotless 07 2.0l petrol turbo saloon be might be selling towards end of the year of you can hold off? Probably not, but sure worth asking.

You can save searches with email alerts.

It’s very useful when you know what your looking for as you do.

The right car will come round but you may have to wait.

Maybe drop a grand on an older 93 as a runaround so you can take your time and find the right car. Just a suggestion which worked out for me.

    Good luck.

Saved search, and then tick alert option when saving...

There are plenty of 9-3's on Donedeal which are post 2008 at the moment
I never drove a Saab until 7 weeks ago when herself sold her Volvo and bought a 9-3 and I decided to pick up a second one for myself 2 weeks ago

Now if I only I could shift my diesel Passat, I could take the 9-3 out and try something a bit different

By the way, the main Irish Saab group on Facebook is

Exactly what i've just done, but a grand was a luxury without selling my Passat first, so I ended up buying cheaper :D:D

They’re the best worst kept secret.

People are afraid of them because there’s no dealer network but it’s a GM motor and there are loads of specialists if you need one.

A dealer network isn’t much use on an 8 year old car anyway.

    So they sell for buttons.

Not too many Aero models available in this country, and certanly seems like a well minded car, and priced well too

Regular oil changes. Turbos don’t like being left thirsty.
