;) Yes. I know. But, please, bear with me a minute?

I have a clip that absolutely rips the piss out of TD/S1, on the premise that no body could understand a word the pair were saying!

This skit was originally shown on " The Onion ", as I remember. Then, it vanished. Thank god I grabbed it ~ because it's brilliant! :D

Trouble is; I'm deaf as a post. 90% of what I watch, I watch with sub titles, on this thing. That's how I would have watched TD.

See? I'd have barely noticed the actual, spoken dialogue. I was Reading it. Were they unintelligible

    Thanks :)

No they weren't. TD season1 was some of the finest TV made in a long time. Rust Cohle did tend to wax philosophical at times....but was never unintelligible.

Excellent! Thanks, Heckler. That's sorted that out, after all these years :D

I was talking to a friend, in NZ, last night. Messing with a drive, I saw the title credits and that brilliant Handsome Family theme tune.

She loved that, of course. But, as she'd never seen (even heard of!) TD, there was no point in showing her the skit.

Still bloody funny though, and extremely well done.

A truly amazing season of television viewing. All concerned should be very proud of themselves.

The dynamic between Rust and Marty was great. The dialogue was never unintelligible.

Rust just talked like a wannabe philosopher and Marty basically spoke for the audience.

I've been looking up scenes this morning thanks to this thread and some of the interactions are hilarious. So thanks for that. Might give it a rewatch soon
