    Hi,
I’m looking at buying in Glasnevin and saw a number of properties of interest. I’m just wondering what Tolka Estate is like and Claremont court? Good facilities? Amenities? Thank you

@OP - It would help if you offered a bit more info on what you are looking for in the area.

What someone with a young family may consider to be good facilities/amenities (crèches, playgrounds, schools, swimming pools, supermarkets, etc) could be totally different to what a singleton in their 20s might want (gym, bars, cafes, kebab shop, etc).

Hi, apologies. We’re a young couple in our early 30s so a mixture of the two lol. We’re looking for our forever home so will be eventually looking at schools etc. Wondering is the area safe etc etc as well

    Settled estate.
    Some kids around.
Nice park in the center of it. Very close to many schools, sacred heart, Kevin’s, a few more on old Finglas road.
    GP around corner.
Shops close by with a few pubs.
    Bus route through it.
It’s also a rush hour rat run.
Decent houses, solid built but many need complete renovation.
Depends which one your looking at. Some have side facing doors that leave remodeling hard to get right.
Some have huge back gardens, some have tiny.

I’ve been in a few, lived there for a year as family lived there all their lives.

    this pretty much.

We live a few doors down from Tolka estate.
Grand settled area, near a little shopping area with a lovely bakery, butcher, pharmacy x 2, shops etc.
Quiet, has some (supposed) good schools nearby, and 3/4 lovely parks within walking distance.
Great connectivity to city centre / M50 from numerous routes.
Bus is ok, but under the bus connects programme should be alot better.
