Don't think so personally. It's worm on the leather in the bolster and the seat area.

Both those particular sections will wear after about 80k and get progressively worse over 100k

It's common wear area in any car and the seat material would probably amplify it. It's not Nappa leather your dealing with here..

    A little bit of wear?

It's not like the shape of the seat has broken down..

Looks fine to me for that mileage

Happens faster if the driver is fond of the dinner!

Yeah I don't think you can judge mileage by seat wear.. I had a problem with leather bolster wearing out after six months in a car... Lot of factors at play..

The seatbelt flexibility was always the giveaway

The seat wear is subjective, but I can confirm that the whole car looks like a POS.

The raised seat bolster on that would be subject to more wear than a flatter seat. Also, if the previous owner made a lot of short journeys, the seat would be subject to increased wear from entering and exiting. Looks fine to me.

(It also has done only 500kms since being NCTed in April).

NCT was done on the 10th May. Expires next April.

This. Probably not clocked, but it is awful.

I bought a 09 Octavia elegance with leather seats recently. The car has 185k kms on it and the drivers seat is in a similiar condition.
If you decide to buy one thing that could be upgraded is the radio. The CD player in mine didn't work so I upgraded to a Bolero touchscren unit. Cost me about 120 euro.

Those seats do go like that. The pleather on them isn't the best.

Car does look like a turd though.

Nice car but that seat looks like it's seen a lot more than 164k kms to me.
    Too much arse
