So a car that has being going perfectly last 2 years suddenly on Tuesday power steering went. I went to garage and they told me power steering pump is gone quoted nearly 600 for pump. i said i think about it and then yesterday it starting throwing up check engine light and check ABS and losing power in dash, it would flash for second and light up again. So anyway started car there and power steering is back? I was talking to fella in work who used be a mechanic he reckons it could be ECU problem?

Any of ye got a opinion?

    Thanks

Could be anything really, there's nothing conclusive there to go on. All we know is it broke down and there's an intermittent issue.

If you dont trust the first mechanic and you dont know much about cars yourself is to get a second opinion from a trustworthy mechanic.
