Broke ecu connector

    broke the white bar that flicks over to lock ecu connector on 2008 mondeo petrol
    pic below, is it possible to change this locking bit?

    Molex CMC connector. Those bits can be changed alright. Probably won’t get them new on their own so best bet would be go to breakers yard, unclip one or more of the connectors and cut a bit of the harness also and take it with you. That way you can disassemble at home and put the bit you need into your own one.
    Used on the PSA 1.6hdi ECU’s also so you can look at Peugeot’s, Citroen’s etc as a source for it.
