Charge My EV - Bosch

Used this app to start (and finish) an eCars rapid charge today.
Wasn't really expecting it to work but it did.

Installed the app, added profile and payment details.

The app shows a charging connector as green when it's available. Clicked on CCS, wee pop up asked me if I wanted to start a charge. I clicked yes. The screen on the charger switched straight to the please plug in your car screen. I plugged in, 30 mins later, I opened the app, clicked on the same charger CCS, it asked me if I wanted to end the charge, I clicked yes. Car stopped charging. I returned cable to charger and drove away!

Email receipt/App shows the amount of time I was charging and the energy received.

Just started downloading it for the iPhone. Sounds like a good app il have to give it a try later.

This app was formerly Z.E. Pass which was marketed to Zoe drivers (but anyone could use it), I used to use it for the ESB chargers before I got my card.

I presume it's using your phone's rfid? So same as using your leap card or bank card on the ESB chargers. Bold!

Nope it's through the web I think, I can activate a charger anywhere in the country while sitting right here in my office.

As posted elsewhere but just another heads up.......

I got an email from Bosch Mobility this morning and from 10th December, you cannont use paypal as a means of paying for chaging

From December 10th, 2019 onwards, PayPal will no longer be available as payment method in the “Charge My EV" App. Your PayPal account will be deleted. Please use your credit card as default payment method from this day on.

Got the email too. Never updated this thread, but I tried the app and it works fine. Very handy in case you come across an EFACEC triple head with a faulty card reader!

I don’t know if it’s just by chance or the Esb updated the chargers again but since they started charging I haven’t needed to use the Bosch app. I got the email today too.
