    Hi All,

Hope someone can help out here. A local sports club has an issue with rabbits on the playing pitches that are causing a good bit of damage. As it is close to a built up area the rifle isn't an option😢. .

If there is someone in the Cork Area (West Cork) that could give a bit of steer/contacts who would be interested in some ferreting it would be greatly appreciated.

You’ll be doing well. This time of year is bad for ferreting
*Ditches are getting too heavy in cover so it’s hard to net.
    * despite the fact that now rabbits breed all year round the main time for breeding is now meaning a lot of kits and that means a lot of digging as the ferrets will
    Kill underground.
    * jills( female ferrets) a lot of them are in heat or have ferret kits inside them or are looking after kits now so little kills are it of action.
So that’s the reason this time of year is bad for ferreting. It’s just not worth it for a lot of ferreters. Now maybe one or two lads will do it but majority won’t so
    Hope someone can help though.

Could they be shot with an air rifle or is that also too dangerous?

May be experienced, competent lads in the locality with air rifles.
