Regarding an Irish citizenship application, what translators are acceptable to translate and certify documents? A lot of solicitors don't do the translations.. thanks

Translation

My old Classics professor used to say that translation is like kissing your lover through a veil. She was trying to impress on students just out of secondary school that translation is an art.

I suggest contacting Dept of Justice who use a panel of translators.

Stay away from Google and other machine translations. Have seen some odd result from these.

Did anyone try to translate documents by themselves? Or is it a bad idea and it is better to look for a translator?
