That's very concerning. Ye must have got a right of rain? Ground still as hard as concrete here. Saying that it could be a different story in 2 weeks if rain continues.

Ground is slop here in Cavan too :(
Much of ours wouldn’t hold a tractor at the moment.
    Plenty of grass though.

Lot of rain in monaghan heavy ground can't take any more rain grass just trampled. No sign of improvement either

Serious amount of rain here in Cavan but its looking better from now on and fingers crossed next week is promising a lot drier weather.
Thankfully the ground was very dry before the monsoon parked itself on top of us. I was worried that the river running through the farm was very low a couple of weeks ago, its not low today!!!
I wouldnt be putting the feckers back in but have a low stocking rate here.

Its rained almost constantly for past 4 days....I opened shed door for cows/calves and they've come in for a dry lie and then out again. Hopefully saves the calves being sopping wet 24/7 as I've heard of a lot of calves needing help as they've got pneumonia around here.

Have a 15 month old heifer and a three month old calf with pnuemonia this evening.
Funny enough theyre off the same cow.
No harm to spend a bit extra time when checking cattle if possible with this feckin weather.
