Aluminium rads

    Hi all,

Not very well up on plumbing so was hoping someone here could offer advice. About to start building and need to make the heating decision. 3000sq ft, 2 storey. Lots of southern facing Windows. Uvalues all below 0.15 (prelim BER being done currently), solar panels feeding a 400l tank, solid fuel stove, mhrv
We both are leaning away from underfloor as like the immediate heat from radiators. Plus as I will have so much solar (and possibly pv to pass part L) I am not sure if a heat pump is worth it. Oil boiler seems like an easy option however I'm concerned about locking myself into fossil fuels. I was wondering if aluminium rads throughout would give me the option to change to a lower heat output appliance down the rd should it be necessary? Any advice on this is greatly appreciated
