    Hi Folks,

    Looking for some advice.

I have a 2016 Seat Leon 1.6 tdi. about 55,000 kilometers. The last week or so it has developed a problem.

When I start it up from cold it is running rough. Idle is a little lumpy, and power delivery a little off. Engine sounds like it is not happy.

This only lasts about 30 seconds and then all is fine. Somebody suggested it could be the EGT sensor. Anybody got any other suggestions.

Wont be able to get it in to the garage until next week.

Have had a few Octavias/golfs in work with that issue on the 1.6.

It's usually the injectors getting blocked. There's a technical bulletin for it that basically says to run a special vw fuel adittive through a full tank of fuel to clean them out. It does work but it could take more than one bottle over a couple of tanks.

That's if you have the same issue which it sounds like. Usually confirmed with an injector leak off test.

Agree with the above. We've not had much luck with the fuel additive though, seems hit and miss or at least only useful on cars that arent too far gone. Definitely sounds like the OP's symptoms though.

Thanks for the replys. Is the additive something I can get myself and try before forking out garage fees.
