Just one bet at Nottingham today. Copal in the 1pm race. Pulled too hard when stepped up in trip at Newmarket the last day (despite commentator mistakenly calling it as winner for some time in final furlong and burning some IR punter's fingers :pac:).

Drop back in trip looks a correct move on that evidence and switch to less lively ground today a potential help too - siblings (including the classy Monarchs Glen) have all handled a bit of juice in ground.

It's a tougher race than last time today but the two horses to have subsequently run from that race have both won and enough reasons to expect improvement today, was sent off 7/2 for that race last time but is available at 33s today.

    Two bets this evening:
8.30 Ripon: Buyer Beware, new trainer and previous trainers not been very good so scope for improvement, not too much juice left in price but a bad race and 8 runners sets it up for an ew bet.
5.45 Kempton: Dark Side Dream, capable off this mark/in this grade and has won over C&D before, only had one start for Wallis and he's well able to improve them, cheekpieces (worn for last two wins) back on after being removed last time out, SDS booked and double figure odds looked very big to me.

    3 small bets today.

4.00 Fontwell, Not A Role Model around 9/4. I think the horse will run well. Backing this to win today.

4.20 Wexford, Dinons. Around even money on the exchange. I think it will win again today. Just keeps on improving.

Last bet of the day for me.

5.00 Fontwell, Sackett, won beautifully last time out. The way it won, if it jumps around cleanly today it will win. Around 10/11 on the exchange, backing to win.

    Til tomorrow

3 heavy favourites. 2 wins, 1 second. Fantastic stuff, pal. Well done.

This is so sad and bitter. Incase you somehow don't know..

    9/4 = 31% chance
    10/11 = 47.5% chance
    1/1 = 50% chance

Hardly a guaranteed treble. Save the criticism for where it's actually due.

Odds on shot with less than 50% chance

Yes it was a very profitable day for me. Real pity about the 3rd horse, the stewards inquiry went on long enough. Very happy with a 9/4 and an even money win.

How about you put up 3 selections and lets see how you get on ? I bet you won't because you won't have the balls to do it.

Plenty of racing left with nice opportunities, come on put up 3 selections. I could put up another 3 selections if I liked with the amount of racing left. You won't because you're a keyboard warrior waffler.

Just a word of caution for anyone backing the fav Cardano in the next at ripon, the horse is by oasis dream, a ball of speed on firm going. The trainer found a mickey mouse race last time but with the extra few pounds and a tougher race I highly doubt it will win tonight. I'm not getting involved but if I was I'd be laying. There are a few tough ones in this race.

Buckingham in the next race should be nowhere near a 50s shot and a bit of that available on the machine. It's speculative at best but don't need to be right very often at these odds.

Why do people keep calling son of a goat out on his selections AFTER the race, try be a bit braver,if your going to call him a mug,or anything else, try it BEFORE the race

Yeah, spot on. No matter how much of a degen he may be the aftertiming is as annoying

In fairness, the selections are put up 1 or 2 minutes before the off, so there is little time to comment, that’s the reason.

All selections are fav or odds on. There is zero tallying up on his p&l. He’s on double digit posts , on this user name, for a reason. He had to close his last account after getting called out for blatant LIES.

Aye, you'd be doing well to call them out before the race given the time they get posted at, he's also a serial offender for starting silly arguments and talking total nonsense so not hard to see why people might want to give out to him. Massive sense of deja vu with all of this compared to the previous incarnation of his account. I hope for his sake that he is trolling and having a good laugh at it all anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭droidman123

Fair enough, his selections are only put up minutes before the off,it still doesnt make it right to call him out AFTER the race, too easy a target

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,192 ✭✭✭Mostly Harmless

He's almost certainly trolling, so I would say making himself a target is possibly part of the game.

For a small example he accused me of being like 5 or 6 other accounts on here while calling my selections complete rubbish *AFTER* the race and saying I am posting up premium tipsters bets, said Coolmore planned for Sir Dragonet not to win the derby and that laying the 11/4 fav was his best bet in over 20 years of gambling.

Why people get so worked up about what other people decide to bet on is beyond me. Petty in the extreme.
