NCT: Can I do the test before the 90 period?

My NCT isn’t due until 06/2020 but I’m wanting to sell my car in a few months and wondering if I can do the test in say September and then I’ll get 2 years from that date or do I get 2 years plus the 3 months. Should make the car easier to sell with the full 2 years NCT 2011 VW Polo

Yeah, you can do what they call a voluntary early test. You'll get 2 years from the date you pass.

Yes 2 years from test date if you go in more than 3 months early.
Go in within the 3 months and you will get up to original renewal date.
