Is there anywhere that repairs/reconditions a electric window regulator? A new regulator is €350 from a main dealer!!! and there is no aftermarket or second regulator available. Thanks

Its a Renault Laguna coupe, not too many around so second hand options are limited. It is different regulator from saloon as I found out! I'm in Sligo .

DIY forum has a list of breakers, maybe you can find your model there.

I looked and called breakers here just coupe is not common model. That's why I was looking for somebody to repair the regulator.

Possibly an auto electrician would give it a go, but tbh many will just tell you to buy a new one and leave it.

Do you know what's wrong with it?

I have tried auto electricians and they all say get replacement. The electric motors are working its the wires that pull the window up and down have lost tension. There was ad on adverts for person that did this but that was years ago and guy in my auto factors said there is person who fixes them but no number for him!!! I'm in Sligo

I bought two spurious regulators one online and the other local motor factors both meant to fit a coupe model, neither part was correct as for saloon model so I am thinking its a dealer only part. Same with repair kit as properly saloon model only.

Thanks, I will message them to see if kit fits but can not see how it will fit as the regulator is completely different to saloon and wire wires are different length but maybe can be cut down somehow

The picture in the ebay ad is just for illustration. You can go down the page and select your model from the dropdowns.

I know just wary as other window regulator I bought was listed as fitting as coupe variant but was not. I suppose as £10 it might be worth a try
