Lying to your parents/family and feeling guilty

Do you ever lie to your parents or close family members about things regarding your personal life?

I do from time to time, since it's nobody's business but my own what I choose to reveal, and what I choose to keep to myself, and if that means coming up with a "cover story," then so be it.

But I still get that guilty feeling when I do it. It's probably more of a fear of being caught lying, than a feeling of guilt.

Anyhow, do you ever lie to your parents / close family members about things in your life?

I did when I was younger, every single day. I never felt guilty though, just unhappy.

    But I'm out now :D

You shouldn't have to ask that. Everyone lies.

    Let's see....

To the kids. Santa is real ( do not feel bad abour that one)

To the kids. Our dog is living the sky now chasing squirrels (nope still not feeling bad)

To the wife. I Do( not a lie, feel bad for her settling)

Is this the type of **** you mean?

    No, what's the point?

They'd just question everything you said in the future if they found out you'd lied about something.

He's only a tiny bit of the lies that they tell.

    "Look, I've got your nose"

    "We love you"

    "Of course you were planned"
