Do apple accept returns on opened items ?

    Hi,

    I bought an iPod touch from the Apple store a few days ago but I want to return it because the battery life is woeful. Does anyone know if they'll accept a return on it even though it's been opened? I read their returns policy and it just says that they don't refund the full value if the item is damaged, but I don't know if turning on the product is included in that?

    If purchased from the Apple online store, you have 14 days to start the return process. If its been turned on, that's fine, just initiate the return by calling them, chatting them, or do it yourself via the self service portal. If the battery life is less than you'd expect, you could also have them check if the device is faulty and get a replacement instead if you prefer.
