Selling vehicle with active insurance

As titled above, have someone viewing vehicle tomorrow.
They can't get insurance on it until Tuesday I guess.
So, they suggested I give consent to use mine as they have open driven insurance and in the event of an mishap/accident my insurance won't be affected.
    He reckons his will.
As I don't understand it fully, can someone ease my mind.

He would only be covered third party if he were using his own policy, so if he crashes your car you’ll get nothing.
If they had comprehensive open driving, there wouldn’t be an issue at all. They don’t though.

No way I'd be doing anything like that with a complete stranger. Once they buy the car insurance it to drive it home is the new owner's problem not yours. If they cannot get insurance until Tuesday then either they bring someone else with them tomorrow who has driving of other cars on their policy which allows them to drive a car they don't own away they collect the car on Tuesday once they have the insurance sorted.

You could drive the car to their house and ask for a few quid as at the end of the day you are doing them a favour.

Or most sensible tell them to get someone who can transport a car.(car trailer or flatbed truck)

    Cheers all.
I'll have been paid before they take it.
Just don't want my insurance being effected.
    Viewing cancelled until tomorrow.

Do not let a stranger use your insurance.
Make sure that you have the money before they take it for a test drive. Otherwise you drive during the test drive.
Also if they are driving it before the ownership changes, photograph their license before they take it for a test drive as otherwise you may be liable for any points.

    Cheers for that.
