What happened? I bought tiles of them a number of months ago after having viewed a lot of different places. Found them good enough to deal with. No idea what they're like to deal with regarding paving.

The stuff we got was all different thicknesses despite them saying it was calibrated. They were also a pain in the arse to deal with not having the patio packs in stock etc.

Kilsaran are very good for concrete products, and Irish made. There's a showroom in Co Meath but a lot of the slabs you see in DIY stores come indirectly from them anyway.

Would recomended the Natural Stone Yard on the Dublin side of Ashbourne. Good selection and have it all on display in show-patios.

Slabs are a pain in the as*... They do be up and down like a jockeys and unless you bed them down solidly they come lose too easily. Paving sometimes is easier. Dig down to the solid ground. Lash in hardcore, whack it with a whacker plate, add paving sand, screed, find a level for water run off and then pave the pattern. Do the cuts with a block cutter and then wack again once finished. Brush joint filling sand and point any gaps with cement.
