I think Eurosport1 have really nailed it with their in-studio section of the programme. Wiggins, Brian Smith and Simon Richardson from GCN in the studio today. All very good.

Agreed it's been very good. I like they have the breakaway section at the end too. Player has been great, full commentary and no ads.

The tempo in the peloton on the Passing Manghen is a bit too pedestrian at the moment for my liking... but the latter half of the climb is meant to be much steeper

Superman going and Nibbles and Roglic getting distanced and over 100km still to go today. They can probably get back on in the descent.

I did not expect Nibali to crack

Watching the descent from the helicopter is unreal.

Wow... I've just seen rider from Dimension Data for the first time this Giro :pac:

You look at what the smaller wildcard teams have done this race and then look at Dimension Data. They haven't even been on TV most days.

Eddie in a five man break at the front of the race
    *Fingers crossed*

The breakaway need to up the tempo and increase the time gap if they want to have a chance to win the stage

    Landa will win the stage

Unfortunately not to be. He went very early - may have misjudged the distance to the line.

Yeah it kinda looked like that. He also ran quite wide on the final corner allowing Bilbao to cut in on the inside

Fan running and bumped into someone else and then into Lopez. Video below.

He shouldn't have hit him, but fans are absolute twats on mountain stages. Can see why riders lose the rag in that situation when the adrenaline is pumping

    Lopez inspired by Katie Taylor

I don't know if Roglic quite has what it takes to win over three weeks. Seems best suited to week long/10 day stage races. I'd be of a similar view about Lopez even though he has two podiums to his name.

Is Nibali passed his best? If he is, then he signed that hefty contract with Trek just in time!

Will Carapaz jump to Ineos? I hope not, but the deal may be done. Imagine that potential team in next year's Tour. Yikes.

He was dead right to hit him. I don't know how the riders gold their cool sometimes with those clowns. Should be a lot more fans getting decked every year by riders in the GTs

In fairness to him he has done everything solo. If he had any team mates good enough, even one, I reckon he'd be nicking it tomorrow

If you can remember the year Tom D won the Giro, Landa got beaten in a few sprints at the finish because of the exact same mistake, running wide.
When the sprint started yesterday I was hoping he wouldn’t make the same mistake and I couldn’t believe it when he did.
