lawn to raised bed

    Hi

Have a mossy front lawn that I want to reduce in size so as to expand the driveway. I was thinking of removing 1/2 to 2/3 of the existing lawn and putting the earth on top of the remaining lawn that follows the edge of the front/side wall. The raised height would be edged by sleepers cut and planted vertically into a cement base. To the front and side is a 2ft red brick wall. New raised area would be mulched at planted with bushes etc. i'll 804 the dug out area to take the weight of a car on new gravel driveway.

    - sound ok-ish?
    - should I just add mulch on top of earth (no cardboard or weed control)?
    - can I bury the grass or should I cut it up/remove it?
