Train the trainer

I am not sure if this is the correct form. I am thinking of doing the train the trainer course.
Is it worth the time and money?
Where can it be done in Waterford or Kilkenny.

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to teach adults in an FE setting its not really worth it, new entrants to FE teaching have to have a degree and a hdip and even at that its near impossible to find work in adult education.
If its for yourself, if youre planning to run your own classes then go for it, it cant hurt.

I was not aware the to teach evening class you need a hdip.
I was thinking of if i did i could work with adults with disabilities in rehab or the national learning network. As i have a degree in social care.
Is there much work to it.

Evening classes can differ depending on the qualification and center, regulations have changed in terms of registering with the teaching council under further ed, a hdip in FE or another recognised teaching qualification is required to teach, you wont get paid without a teaching council number. If youre being paid by the center directly then you wont need a teaching qualification, you should contact the center to find this out.
Theres a few options, you can do a masters in adult education, a hdip or a level 9 postgrad dip
You can do it in Marino college, Waterford, Galway University or Maynooth University.
Its intensive, a year or two depending on the course you choose and you will do a few hundred hours of work experience throughout the year.
Be aware, there are very few jobs in this area.
