    Hi,

Does anyone have an example PCP calculator they can share ?

Most of the car websites calculate up to the max of 30% deposit but would be great if someone had a calculator that allows you to enter a larger deposit and APR rate

Just to get a rough estimate of the cost

    Cheers

30% is the maximum deposit you will get with PCP.

Also it's not a very good idea to go to the maximum if you plan on going PCP again in 3 years time as it means you then have to come up with another maximum deposit again in order to retain similar monthly rates. There is a huge PCP thread on here that you should have a read of as it really explains how PCP works and whether it is suited to you or not.

Some manufacturers have sliders for deposit. I like to use Seats calculator even if I am not looking at seat. Apr rate is usually similar, so I just choose whatever car fits the process tag and play with deposit then.

Windsor have similar, so find a car roughly similar to what you want to buy on their site and they'll have both a HP and PCP calculator when you click into the ad and it allows you to play around with the numbers.

If you are looking at a deposit greater than 30% consider hp.

Alternatively if a car being traded a dealer will often give cash back for any difference over the 30% limit. You can hold and save and use it to cannabilise the outstanding amount after 3 years and pay off much quicker or all at once.

At a 30% deposit the strategy should always be to pay off, never to roll into a second deal.

Here's one I've used before. It's a pretty detailed one.
