    Hi all..

Looking for advice on a 400 l dual coil cylinder suitable for private water well supply. The one at home has corroded and needs to be replaced.

A Joule branded one is a 2 to 3 week lead time at moment! What other manufacture would you recommended please?

    thanks T

Have you ever had your water tested?

If the pH is low it could be causing your copper cylinder and pipes to erode. If this is the case there will be a greenish tinge to the water when you run a bath.

If low pH is an issue you can get a simple treatment set-up where the water is passed through lime chippings to neutralise it.

Well drillers/pump suppliers will be able to point you to local suppliers.

Hello thanks for reply. yes pH is 5.4 out of well. Great for cleaning :)

We've a full treatment system in the house now (pH / filters / UV etc) . But that was installed 5 years AFTER we moved in.. therefore damage was done by then I guess. Cylinder is ~ 12 years old

Right now the hot water supply is brown with that distinct sweetish smell of heating circuit inhibitor - oil fired heating coil in water tank has failed and leached into hot water supply.. nice.

Found another off the shelf cylinder made by Dejong - similar specs / warranty etc - anyone here with experience of this manufacturer ?

    Thanks again

We have a Dejong 300l dual coil.

Can’t fault it at this stage, it’s 11 years in the house now.
