I'd like to grab a record of my Call Log, to put somewhere safe, as a record.

Is this possible, please? Maybe ~ somehow ~ getting it to " Files ". Then sending said file to an email address?

Please be gentle. I don't even comprehend the camera on this thing :o

    Thanks.

Go to the play store and download Sms backup and restore. It also can back up call logs. You can save locally on the phone or to the cloud (Google drive/Dropbox)

You can also schedule an automatic backup if you want to keep an up to date backup.

    Tension mounts .....

Okay, Sir; Thankyou! I now have the Sms thing downloaded. And, it has indeed sent a copy of my call log to my " File Manager ".

Now, is there a way of getting that copy to my Gmail mailer, please? I haven't got a Cloud thing. I do know though that I managed to send files to my email. Did it only the other day.

Just can't seem to spot the bit where it says I can send this one anywhere

Nope. Looking at it? At the bottom, it has a scissor, two pages, and the Delete dustbin. No idea what the first two do. And I don't touch what I don't understand.

    Thanks.

You can probably open Gmail on the phone and attach the file and send it to yourself.

By the way if you were able to download the app it means you have a google account which means you also have a Google drive account. You can set it to back up to this. Then on your laptop you can either install Google drive or just go to drive.google.com and sign in to view/download your files.

Hells Teeth, I've done it! :D

God knows how. It's taken me this long and I did so much, I can't remember what I've been doing, now!

I opened a Dropbox account and was sending it / trying to send it all over the place. Nothing was working.

Finally managed to send it to myself. Came as a load of weird code? Tried another thing and it came as a weird file. Had to download a thing, to open that. That allowed me to convert the lot into an rtf.

It's no where as clearly readable as the thing on my phone. But, at least now ~ if I lose my log or phone ~ I have the record I want. And it's now on Two 'sticks'!

Phew! Thanks for ye help! :)

Why not just set a daily backup to Google drive? Then if you lose your phone just sign in on your new device and restore the backup using the same app.

*Round of gracious applause* Thankyou! Ye really have gone above and beyond, here :D

It was really only a past period that I was anxious to get a record of. But, what fun to be able to 'record' any future calls I might like to refer back to, eh?

I'm totally fried, just now. But, I'll have a look at that vid, later.

I'm very much from the era when having a phone in the house was Real class. And ye stuck ye finger in a round dial and turned it. All this sort of thing actually is 'Rocket Science', to me! :P

    Thanks, again.
