Daughter on Disability allowance her live in boyfriend just started work

    Hi my daughter has been on DA since she was 16, her live in boyfriend just started working , how much can he earn before she loses all of her DA any advice welcome . Also how do you work out the means test pls

    Say he’s on €10x40 minimum wage.
    Then he’d have €400 gross.
    Here’s what happens.
    She would get €208 + €134 for him if he wasn’t working so €342.
    They will allow €20 for every day up to 3 days so €400 - €60 = €340. Then 60% of the €340 = €204.
    So from him earning €400 they will say that is means of €204. So they deduct the €204 from her max payment of €342.
    Her new DA payment will be €138.
