I thought I would bang a few of these up here for people to read as some sporting/gambling sites cannot be accesssed on "certain/work" networks.

Lads I will put a few stable tours up on this one thread,

Ralph Beckett has a decent record at Pontefract. If you had simply backed all his horses who were sent off at 5-1 or shorter since the start of 2014 you would have found nine winners from 14 runners – a strike-rate of 64 per cent (+£16.81 to a £1 stake).

Promising three-year-old fillies to the fore again after a slow start

It has been a tough start to the season for Ralph Beckett. Early performances showed the trainer the horses, while healthy, were not quite ready, so he took the wise course of giving them more time, which has meant fewer runners than expected in the last two weeks.

Beckett was also dealt a blow by the death of promising three-year-old colt Nivaldo, who collapsed on the gallops, while Chester Cup hope Here And Now is out for the season after ‘getting a leg’.

Dancing Vega, who disappointed in the Fred Darling, is off to the US to continue her career, but Beckett still has an envious array of fillies which is hardly surprising given his excellent record with them.

And as April turns into May the stable is set to step on to the front foot, with the forecast rain after the Easter sunshine a boost for a yard whose headline acts have shown a liking for cut in the ground.

    Older horses

    Air Pilot
    Ten-year-old gelding
Zamindar (sire) – Countess Sybil (dam)
    Owner: Lady Cobham
    Form figures: 17542-3
Racing Post Rating: 117; Official rating 114
He has been an extraordinary horse, still training every day with great enthusiasm, and produced another good run in the Prix Exbury to start this season. He may have to drop to Listed class now he can race without a penalty but on soft ground somewhere he is going to have every chance of another win.

    Akvavera
    4f Leroidesanimaux – Akdarena
    Kirsten Rausing
    255114-
    RPR 97; OR 94
Just missed out on black type in the Fleur de Lys at Lingfield on her last run, which she might have got had Joe Fanning ridden her before and been more aggressive in the middle of the race. She is working well and could start in the Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood’s first meeting on Saturday week.

    Battered
    5g Foxwedge – Swan Wings
    King Power Racing Co Ltd
    5122/45-
    RPR 104; OR 97
The ground was too fast to run in the Lincoln with his record saying he is really effective with a bit of juice. He was due to run in the Spring Cup at Newbury but wasn’t working well enough going into that, telling us he needed a bit more time. He will get the Royal Hunt Cup entry and there is plenty for him through the year. I don’t think he is badly handicapped so he can be placed to effect. He has won round Goodwood and could go back there.

    Blizzard
    4f Medicean – Moretta Blanche
    Absolute Solvents Ltd
    162541-
    RPR 96; OR 99
Was a real surprise last year, improving with racing to end up winning a Listed contest. She wasn’t in training at two so could improve again. She definitely needs give in the ground which will dictate where she goes.

    Cliffs Of Dooneen
4g Galileo – Devoted To You
    The Anagram Partnership
    117P-5
    RPR 102; OR 98
The first horse we have bought out of Ballydoyle and he needed gelding. He was running and winning when the yard were having a tough spell which made him interesting and he could be a Chester Cup horse. The race would suit him, especially if they have some rain. It was a nice start at Kempton and now he will be ridden more prominently in his races.

    Di Fede
    4f Shamardal – Dibiya
    Robert Ng
    742851-
    RPR 106; OR 104
She is about the toughest horse here and has just got better with racing. She’s always overachieved and should at least win more stakes races – if not a Group race. She loves Ascot, which is helpful, and because of that she will have an entry for the Windsor Forest [Duke Of Cambridge] at the royal meeting. She might start in the Group 3 Chartwell at Lingfield on May 11.

    Dolphin Vista
    6g Zoffany – Fiordiligi
    Y Nasib
    15/021-8
    RPR 113; OR 110
It was a good effort to beat Morando, who won the Group 3 St Simon afterwards, in the Doonside Cup last year. We made too much use of him in the Prix Exbury on his return but he is on the way back and can have his day again when the ground is soft.

    Mitchum Swagger
7g Paco Boy – Dont Dili Dali
    The Anagram Partnership
    0/36812-
    RPR 114; OR 109
He’s training very well but needs juice in the ground and that’s not been easy to find – I would have loved to have run him in the Earl Of Sefton at the Craven meeting. He is entered in the bet365 Mile at Sandown on Friday and the King Richard III Stakes at Leicester on Saturday. He could run if the rain arrives, and it’s a case of the more the better for him.

    Richenza
4f Holy Roman Emperor – Nantha
    Lynn Turner and Guy Brook
    182637-
    RPR 95; OR 93
She is a big filly and has done well from three to four. She has already been placed in a Listed race and I can see her continuing at that level, and perhaps improving to win one.

    Rock Eagle
    5g Teofilo – Highland Shot
    Jeff Smith
    12141-
    RPR 101; OR 97
He’s done well over the winter and could start in the City Bowl at Salisbury on Sunday. He appears to want further even though he’s only run once at 1m4f, which suited him. I think he will stretch out to 1m6f straight away, despite being a strong traveller, as his pedigree suggests further will suit. I see him as an Ebor horse.

    Thimbleweed
    4f Teofilo – Prairie Flower
    J H Richmond-Watson
    31125-
    RPR 93; OR 87
She is an enormous filly who had a wind operation over the winter. That should help her and I am still hopeful she can go up a grade again this year. She will start in a handicap and work her way up from there.

    Three-year-olds

    STAR QUALITY

    Antonia De Vega
f Lope De Vega – Witches Brew
    Waverley Racing
    118-
    RPR 100; OR 99
She had a fracture of her pastern which came to light after her run in the Fillies’ Mile and she had a good long break to get over that. She did a nice piece of work on Saturday and I’m hoping to go straight to the 1,000 Guineas with her. She isn’t a filly who needs a lot of work and she runs well fresh. She is out of a Duke Of Marmalade mare so, with his influence for stamina, you would think she would stay further, but we will see how the Guineas goes before making any firm decisions. She is not a big filly and if she does get further I can see Epsom suiting her.

    Chaleur
    f Dansili – Lilyfire
    Khalid Abdullah
    2131-
    RPR 101; OR 98
She has done well from two to three and is training well but is a little behind in her coat – she grew a winter coat after the Duchess of Cambridge last July so I don’t know whether it is a follow-on from that and if she is out of sync. She could end up in the Michael Seely at York, a track which will suit her well.

    Dave Dexter
    g Stimulation – Blue Crest
    Philip Snow & Partners 1
    541129-
    RPR 100; OR 99
A blue-collar horse with his pedigree, and a really tough one. He should have his day again over 5f and 6f when getting soft ground.

    Desirous
    f Kingman – Emulous
    Khalid Abdullah
    6221-
    RPR 83; OR 82
Her Newmarket run when touched off by this year’s Nell Gwyn winner Qabala has worked out extremely well and the race was not run to suit when she won her maiden after. I hope she will be able to go up in grade and get black type.

    Feliciana De Vega
f Lope De Vega – Along Came Casey
    Waverley Racing
    11-
    RPR 101; OR –
She had a small issue in February, which is why she didn’t have a Guineas entry, but I’ve been pleased with her since. She could run at the beginning of next month. There are a couple of races for her, one at Ascot and the Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood, and that will tell us if she is up to the Irish Guineas. I think juice in the ground is going to be important.

    Future Investment
    g Mount Nelson – Shenir
    RNJ Partnership
    3
    RPR 82; OR –
He surprised us as I didn’t expect him to run that well on quickish ground at Windsor given his sister was effective on softer ground. I would hope he will improve for the run and on ground with some juice in it.

    Glance
    f Dansili – Look So
    J H Richmond-Watson
    0142-
    RPR 94; OR 94
She did a nice piece of work but had a small issue after it so we had to stop, and she only started back earlier this month. I had hoped to go to the German 1,000 Guineas at the end of May. She will tell us when she’s ready and I would hope if she doesn’t make York she will be back at the end of May. She is from a family who improve significantly from two to three and with their racing, so to be Listed-placed at two was a real bonus. Her form has been boosted this year.

    Junius Brutus
    g Cockney Rebel – Tricked
    King Power Racing Co Ltd
    601208-
    RPR 99; OR 100
His form tailed off slightly after his good second in the Sirenia. He is another who will be best on softer ground over 5f and 6f.

    Manuela De Vega
f Lope De Vega – Roscoff
    Waverley Racing
    11-
    RPR 96; OR –
We’re a bit in between a rock and hard place because the Musidora is too close to the Oaks for her liking because she is a light-framed filly. That means she will have to carry a penalty wherever she goes, or run against colts.

    DARK HORSE

    Noble Music
f Sea The Moon – Noble Lady
    Emma Kennedy
    3
    RPR 70; OR –
Her third to Bangkok in a 1m2f maiden on her racecourse debut at Doncaster on Lincoln day looks better all the time. She should improve significantly for that run and has a future, perhaps over further, and I can see her going 1m4f imminently.

    Oydis
    f Nathaniel – Opera Dancer
    Jeff Smith
    3-
    RPR 66; OR –
She has taken a while to come to hand and will probably go 1m2f straight away and I expect her to get 1m4f. To finish third over 7f at two was a good effort, given her pedigree, and indicates promise for this year.

    Sam Cooke
g Pour Moi – Saturday Girl
    Chelsea Thoroughbreds – Wonderful World
    221-
    RPR 82; OR 85
A corn showed up to prevent him from reappearing at Windsor last week. He can come into his own when he steps up in trip. He wasn’t bred to be a two-year-old so did particularly well and should improve.

    Sand Share
f Oasis Dream – Shared Account
    Khalid Abdullah
    134-
    RPR 103; OR 101
It was a proper effort to finish third in the May Hill off one run on the all-weather. She has taken a little longer to come to hand than we would have liked. The idea was that the Musidora would suit her, and that could still happen, but she needs to come forward. She is a big, good-topped filly and looks like she will stay well – she was staying on at the end of the mile of the May Hill.

    Skymax
    g Maxios – Set Dreams
    Norman Brunskill
    0321-
    RPR 84; OR 85
He is ready for a step up to 1m4f this year – he looked outpaced over 1m2f in his nursery until hitting the rising ground. There’s a suitable race for him at the Dante meeting at York. With his pedigree he will get better as he gets older and he is still filling his big frame.

    Stormwave
    c Dalakhani – Celtic Slipper
    Abdulla Al Khalifa
    1-8
    RPR 81; OR –
He’s always been very good in his work. He’s quite a heavy-topped horse and probably got stuck in the ground when disappointing at Newbury. You can forgive one bad run, especially with ours not quite hitting their straps. He could run back in a novice and there’s plenty for him next month.

    Two-year-olds

Most are middle-to-late season types who need time. One of the most forward is a Dandy Man colt out of Our Valkyrie, Goodwood Rebel, owned by the Goodwood owners’ group, and another nice one is Vape (Dark Angel – Puff). We have some by first-season sires – I have a couple of nice Muhaarars and a Golden Horn colt who is shaping nicely for later on.

    Horse to follow

Had reportedly been showing up well in her homework before her debut at Newmarket in November and she didn’t disappoint punters who backed her into 10-11 favourite when bolting up by six lengths in a race that has worked out well. The third, fourth and tenth all went on to score next time and Feliciana De Vega confirmed she is a classy filly when winning a Listed race at Deauville by a wide margin on her next outing. She has the potential to reach the top table provided she continues to progress and soft ground will suit.

Joseph O’Brien is 7-23 in Killarney non-handicap hurdles, a 30% strike-rate giving a profit of £10.96 to a €1 stake. Backing those who went off 5-1 or shorter sees the percentage rise to 50%, with six of the 12 winning and three more placing.

Only one other trainer – Dermot Weld – has the distinction of saddling Cheltenham Festival winners having also conquered the Melbourne Cup and Irish Derby on the Flat but, Joseph O’Brien can boast all that and more.
Less than a year after Rekindling became only the third Irish-trained winner of the race that stops a nation, Latrobe landed the Irish Derby, a breakthrough domestic Classic success for the 25-year-old handler and his brother Donnacha, who would end the year as champion jockey.
O’Brien has built up his best team of horses yet and, while winning big races has become the norm, the glory days are not lost on the young trainer.
He explained: “I didn’t expect to have the success that we’ve had – I didn’t even dream of having the big winners we’ve had. It’s been unbelievable.
“I’m in a seriously privileged position and I have a great team around me. When I came here we had only 12 to 15 horses riding out. We worked hard and we have a great team who take pride in what they do every day.
“We’ve been lucky but it’s important to keep looking forward and building – the phone doesn’t ring when you’re not having winners. We’re thrilled with how things are going and we’ve got a lovely bunch of horses to look forward to this season.”
Latrobe, who runs in Monday’s Mooresbridge Stakes, is reported to have done well during the winter while Iridessa, who finished eighth in Sunday’s 1,000 Guineas looks an obvious Oaks candidate while Buckhurst is being talked about as a potential Derby horse. Lots to look forward to, indeed.

I was delighted for the lads who own him when he won at Naas last month. He’d been working well ahead of that but, to be honest, I thought he’d need the run. There’s a new ladies race at Leopardstown worth €50,000 on Saval Beg Stakes day and he could go there. He could go jumping further down the line as well. He used to travel well without seeing out his races last year but the gelding operation seems to have worked well with him.

He’s taken to hurdling well and there’s a chance he could come back to the Flat with Galway being the main aim – he’d have the option of running in the Topaz Mile or the Galway Hurdle. He could even run in the two, we’ll have to see closer to the time.
He’s obviously been doing very well over hurdles this season, but he’s one we’d definitely like to get back on the Flat. It’s hard to say for sure that he has improved since being gelded or going over hurdles, but we’ll give him the chance to show it. Exploring longer trips on the Flat is also something we are keen on, as he has never run over further than nine furlongs and his form over hurdles suggests he should stay further than that.

He’ll be campaigned in all of those good staying handicaps and I think he’ll give the lads who own him plenty of fun this summer. There’s a 2m handicap at the Curragh on Guineas weekend and we’ll aim him at that.

She made a great start for us this season when winning a Listed race at Cork but she was a bit disappointing in the Vintage Crop last time behind Master Of Reality when the race didn’t work out at all for her. Seamie [Heffernan] rode her that day and said to put a line through the run. The main objective would be to win a Group 2 race with her this season.

A star for us last season, winning the Irish Derby, he’s wintered very well and I was delighted with his return when third in the Alleged Stakes at Naas last month. He runs in the Mooresbridge Stakes this afternoon at the Curragh and we’ll take things from there. The Tattersalls Gold Cup could be a logical option but that race is shaping up to be quite hot so we’ll have to see. You’d imagine he could end up back in Australia at the end of the year.
He had a good break after his run in Hong Kong and is back in good shape now. He seems to have wintered well and I’m really happy with where he is at the minute. We will look to start him off in the Mooresbridge Stakes at the Curragh on May 6th and all being well we will look to run him in the Tattersalls Gold Cup back there on May 26th. We are looking forward to what will hopefully be a good season with him.

We fancied her to run a big race at Navan just over a week ago and she stayed on strongly to finish second. She looks like she’ll be capable of winning off her rating and she’s been working well lately.

We were delighted with him when he won the Group 3 Vintage Crop Stakes on his return. He’s progressed a lot better from three to four than we had expected. He’ll be trained with the Ascot Gold Cup in mind and the Saval Beg Stakes would be the logical next step for him.
He came to us from France last year and was a little bit disappointing in his first two runs for us. We gelded him and gave him a good break after his last run. He has done well for the break and will hopefully be a better horse this season. He looks as though he’ll have no trouble staying two miles and that is the route we’ll send him down.

He’s had a good break but he’s back and seems in good form. Again, he’s one we’d like to aim at Royal Ascot, and he’ll have a run before.
We ended up being a little bit disappointed with him last season after he made such a good start. We gave him a break after his last run and we’re going to aim him at the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot.

    RPR 103 OR 96
Ran a serious race first time up this season at Gowran and she’ll go to the Curragh [today] for a 0-100 handicap – she’s in good shape. With these fillies, black type is important, and that will be her aim in time.

He was due to run in the Woodlands Stakes at Naas at the end of last month but he had a dirty scope so the plan will be to start him off in the Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh on Guineas weekend. He’s a talented sprinter.
We ended up being a little bit disappointed with him last season after he made such a good start. We gave him a break after his last run and we’re going to aim him at the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot.

A good servant to us last year, winning four on the bounce and placing in plenty of other good races. She ran well on her return and we’ll try to get black type with her.

Impressive on her debut last month at Dundalk, but she didn’t get the clearest of runs when fifth in a Listed race at Navan. That was just her first run on grass and we’ll probably work back from something like the Irish Oaks with her.
She’s a lovely filly that won her only start at Dundalk back in January. We always liked her, but it was a bit of a surprise that she was able to win over seven furlongs on debut, as she is one that we always expected to be better with time and over longer trips. The plan is to start her back in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan on April 28th. We very much think she will prove to be stakes class and expect her to improve as the season progresses.

The plan is to go back to the Derrinstown Derby Trial at Leopardstown with him. He’d have to probably win the Derrinstown, and win it well, if we’re to go to the Epsom Derby with him but he has his chance to prove he can go that direction. If he doesn’t go down the Epsom route we could come back for the Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh before teeing him up for the Irish Derby. All options are open to him and he’s exciting.

She ran a cracker on her seasonal debut at Navan where she was denied a clear run through and had to settle for third. She was a late foal and she’s a filly we think will be better with time. She’s exciting and we’ll explore going up in trip with her at some stage. The Polania Stakes at Cork [Friday] could be an ideal race for her next. You’d imagine she’d be hard enough to beat in that.
She has only run twice and the form of her third in a Group 3 at the Curragh last July has worked out well since with the winner just being touched off in the Phoenix Stakes and the second winning the Moyglare Stakes. She was quite a late foal, so we eased off her after that and gave her time to mature. We have entered her in the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown this weekend, but we might just wait for the Listed race over six furlongs at Navan on April 28th. We’ll probably give her a chance over seven furlongs or further at some stage, but she has plenty of pace and we are unlikely to rush her up in trip. She’s a full-sister to Hitchens and he got better with age, so we are hopefully she can do the same. We think she’s a very nice filly.

She ran a serious race on her seasonal debut at Cork, and getting black type will be her main objective. She’s a small filly but she’s very well bred and she’s a half-sister to the dam of 2,000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia.
We always thought that she was a nice filly, but it was a bit of a surprise that she knew enough to win on debut. We expected her to run well and then be hard to beat on her second start, but maybe I underestimated her. She’s a well-bred filly that is a half-sister to the dam of Magna Grecia, so getting black type will be the main objective. She could potentially start off in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan on April 28th. We aren’t sure what her best trip will end up being, but it’s likely to be around a mile or a mile-and-a-quarter. We’ll be guided by what she does on the racecourse in that regard.

He had a lovely first run of the year at Cork last month and he’ll have one more run between now and the Britannia at Royal Ascot.
Owned by Ireland rugby union coach Joe Schmidt, this fellow got off the mark at the third time of asking in a Roscommon maiden in July and progressed after that without winning, including when fifth in a Group 3 at Leopardstown. He has always appeared well suited by a mile-plus, and his comeback run in a 7f conditions race at Cork where they did not go quickly augurs well. He looks likely to be a factor in all of the good mile handicaps over the course of the season.

He finished second in three maidens before disappointing at Cork but the pace was very slow that day and it turned into a sprint in the straight, which didn’t suit. He’ll probably have one more run before Royal Ascot, where we’re thinking of running him in the three-year-old 1m4f handicap.

She did well at two, winning the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket. I thought she ran a lovely race when third at Leopardstown on her seasonal debut and there were plenty of positives to take from her effort in yesterday’s 1,000 Guineas. I’d be hopeful that she can develop into an Oaks candidate later in the season. We’ll take her home and see how she comes out of Newmarket but, all being well, the Irish 1,000 Guineas could be the logical next step for her.
She’s an exciting filly that did very well for us last season. We are starting her off in the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on Saturday and I’d expect her to need the run there. From there, she will hopefully go onto either the 1000 Guineas or the Irish 1,000 Guineas. Trip wise, we’ll feel our way with her as we go. Her pedigree suggests she should stay further than a mile, but she doesn’t lack pace either. We’ll be guided by what we see on the racecourse.

He ran well at Naas last time and the plan is to go to the French Guineas. He’s an exciting colt, a huge big horse, and he’s done well during the winter. He’ll probably be even better in the autumn or next year.
He improved all the way through last season and we are very happy with how he has progressed in physical terms over the winter. The plan is to start him back in the 2,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on Saturday. We aren’t sure whether his best trip will be a mile or a bit shorter just yet, but we’ll be guided by what he does on the racecourse. He looks as though he’ll prefer fast ground. The main aim would be to get black type. She was fourth in a Listed race at Navan and we’d be hopeful there’s more to come from her. She’ll excel on heavy ground – the heavier the ground the better for her.
She was suited by the drop to six furlongs when winning on her second start in a maiden at Naas. She is entered in the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown this weekend, but we might wait for the Listed race over six furlongs at Navan on April 28th. Two-year-olds
We’ve run a handful of juveniles, including Never Before (c No Nay Never – Endure), who we really like. He ran well when second at Dundalk and should have no trouble winning his maiden. Cobb And Co (c Camacho – Perliere) also ran with promise on his debut at Tipperary and can improve, as can Phase After Phase (c Siyouni – Pollyana).
We’ve also run two fillies, Tinkerbells Effect (f Kodiac – Minionette) and Funny Little Ways (f Gutaifan – Midnight Oasis) and they go well. Mine usually improve for a run.
There’s a nice bunch of juveniles and we’re looking forward to getting them out. Of the colts, Franklin Street is a nice No Nay Never horse who doesn’t want the ground too quick but we think he’s going well. Potala Palace is a nice Dansili colt. He’ll probably want 7f and he goes well.
Fame And Acclaim, by Acclamation, is working nicely and he’ll start in a 6f maiden. We have a nice horse for Phoenix Thoroughbreds, an Invincible Spirit colt out of Sahara Sky, and he’s working well.
Dark Vader, a colt by Dark Angel, is going well as is Royal Affair, by Kingman, and a Charm Spirit colt called Air Force Jet also pleases me. Unforgetable is a Muhaarar filly we like a lot.

The Kingsclere trainer on his expanding string for 2019.
After his best year in 2018, Andrew Balding hopes to build on the success that has seen his string reach 200 horses for the first time.
Balding topped his previous record of 119 winners in Britain in 2014 with 123 winners last year, totalling £2,601,152 in prize-money, and has a particularly exciting three-year-old team for this campaign, including potential Classic candidates Bangkok, Bell Rock and Fox Tal.
He said: “You can only train what you’re sent and to put it simply we had a lot better horses. If they can stay healthy this year they’re a very strong team.
“You want to do as well as you can with what you have each year and our season revolves, certainly until September, around the big festivals and we’ll be trying to compete successfully.”
The notable support of owners King Power Racing has helped boost the quality and quantity at Balding’s disposal with the trainer hoping the operation can match the ambition of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who tragically died in a helicopter crash in October.
Balding said: “Everyone involved at King Power Racing is aiming to continue the legacy of Vichai – it was his baby and dream and we’d all love to see it reach the potential he had in mind.
“It’s been a major boost to be sent many seriously well-bred, attractive animals by King Power Racing and it’s a lot easier to train them than lesser horses. We want to repay the faith they have shown.”
Beat The Bank, Here Comes When and Maid Up fulfilled star roles last year and are back for more, while punters should note the yard’s juvenile runners in novice races, who have posted a £1 level-stake profit in two of the last three years, including an impressive +£103.90 in 2018.

He continues to be a star for us and enjoyed another good campaign last year. I thought he was a bit unlucky in the Queen Anne and that’s his ultimate target again. He’s likely to start off in the Lockinge and there’s a chance we could try him over further later in the year.
I was delighted with his win at Sandown and he will run in the Lockinge at Newbury next weekend. We are going to try him over a mile and a quarter at some stage and it would be lovely to think he could win a Group 1 at some stage this year but we will take it one step at a time.

He’s an exciting stayer and a high quality horse. We’re just going to take our time in getting him back on the track after a slight niggle as he’s got a long career ahead of him. He should be back in action by midsummer and the Ebor is very much his intended target.
He will be a late starter and he won’t be ready much before July. He is a lovely horse who did very little wrong and just picked up a niggle at the end of last year. We have been treating it conservatively and have given it a lot of time but he is a really nice young stayer in the making.

He did nothing but improve last year and finished with a good third in the Cesarewitch. His rating now reflects that and it will be tougher for him but he’ll start off in the Chester Cup – a track he could love or hate – and is another potential Ebor candidate.
He ran in the Chester Cup and like most of them never got to the leader in that bottomless ground. He is due to go up 5lb and it could have been his last run in a handicap. He is well up to winning a listed race and hopefully a Group race at some stage.

She saw out seven furlongs well when winning the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster and the reason we’ve kept her in training is to try her over a mile. The Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot will be her main target and if she stays the trip it will open up a range of other options.
She runs on Saturday in the Chartwell. We are going to try her at a mile at some stage possibly at Ascot in the Duke of Cambridge. She is having her first run back with a penalty and I expect she will come on for the run and then we will try her at a mile and take it from there.

He’s been a star for us and ran some terrific races last year. He loves soft ground and is suited by six or seven furlongs – if the going is right for him he’ll be on the premises for any type of race. The Sprint Cup at Haydock and Sprint on Champions Day will be on the agenda again. Historically there has tended to be give in the ground by that time of the season and although he’s unlikely to win one of them, he’s won plenty of prize-money in those sorts of races and it’s good for his profile as one day he might hopefully have done enough for stallion purposes.
He needs soft ground to be at his best but he is a very useful 6f/7f horse when the ground is in his favour. He has been placed in Group 1’s and won listed races and he will just wait for his ground and go from there.

She was a revelation last year, starting on a mark of 67 to winning the March Stakes and the step up in trip brought out the best in her. She’s probably going to start off in the Middleton at York on May 16 or the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket on May 4. She’s a lovely filly, really honest and has a bit of class to match.
She was a little bit disappointing in the Jockey Club Stakes but she needed the race. She needs fast ground and she could end up in the Bronte Cup at York if the ground was to her liking. He’s relatively lightly raced for his age and looked to see out the trip really well when dead-heating in the St Simon Stakes on his first run over 1m4f on his last start. That gives us plenty of options and he’s a far better horse with ease underfoot.
He is ground dependent and really wants soft ground but he won really well at Chester last week and he will get that ground somewhere else this season. He is a force to be reckoned with when he gets that ground and he beat some decent horse there.

Things didn’t really pan out for him last year but his work had been great prior to Doncaster and he won how we hoped he would. The Dee Stakes at Chester and Dante at York are possibilities and he’s capable of running very well in a Classic trial. His pedigree suggests he should have no problem staying 1m4f but he’s also shown a lot of speed at home so we’ll see how he fares over 1m2f.

She’s been working nicely and will start off in one of the Pretty Polly, Cheshire Oaks or Lingfield Oaks trial. Her work suggests she’s worth an entry in the Oaks and she’s a versatile filly regarding ground – she’s a good mover and has class.
She ran well in the Oaks Trial at Chester and she stayed well. She ran a good race and she will probably go for something like the Lupe at Goodwood.

His form is solid and he’s better with a bit of give in the ground. I think seven furlongs is his trip and he could develop into a Jersey Stakes horse. He’s entered at Newbury on Friday in a three-year-old handicap.
He is progressing nicely and ran a solid race at Haydock at the weekend. Hopefully, he will continue to improve with more experience and he looks like he could make up into a smart horse with a bit of cut in the ground.

She’s going to be entered in the Oaks and is a nice filly. She was a bit weak last year and had one run at Newbury but has developed really well over the winter. Whether she’s quite up to running in the Oaks or if it will come too soon remains to be seen but she’s smart and will return in a maiden.
She ran well in a strong race at Sandown and ran well enough in the Oaks Trial at Lingfield. She should have no trouble landing her maiden before being upped in class again.

She did really well last year and we’ve always thought she’s very smart. I was hoping to start her off in the Nell Gwyn but she’s took a little bit of time in coming in her coat so we’ll make a plan in the next fortnight. She’s won a Listed race and I’d like to think she can win a Group 3 and if she stays a mile that would open up more options.
I thought she ran an odd race in the Guineas as It looked as though she was going to drop away and then she kept on in the Guineas and finished quite well. We are going to try her at a mile and a quarter next.

He improved with each start and is really honest. He’ll relish a step up in trip and will appreciate a bit of give in the ground. He’s entered at Windsor on Monday and a handicap over a mile and a quarter at the Craven meeting on Tuesday is another option.
He has run well the last couple of times at Newmarket and he would be a better horse with some give in the ground and might stay a mile and a half. He will win his races.

He’s a horse we like a lot and ran really well on debut. The form has been franked and he’s likely to run at Newbury on Saturday.
He is hopefully going to run in the Dante as long as the ground is not too fast. He is in good form and fingers crossed.

A nice type who has done well in winning two novice races on the all-weather. He was due to run in the Kentucky Derby trial at Kempton but unfortunately was lame and has had a bit of time off. Hopefully we can get him back to his best as he has a lot of ability.

He’s a grand horse, bought by King Power Racing at Ascot then ran three good races for us when placed in the Richmond, Gimcrack and Mill Reef Stakes. He’s due to start off in the European Free Handicap at Newmarket on Tuesday and his work has pleased me.
He ran well when finishing sixth in the 2000 Guineas and didn’t see out the mile which is what we feared. He stayed the seven furlongs well in the Free Handicap and he will go straight for the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

    Two-year-olds

We were very spoilt last year with what we were sent and although this year’s group did not cost anywhere near as much they’re very nice and I’m delighted. We have no particularly early types but plenty of nice prospects for later in the season. It’s early days but the bulk of our nicer types will not be running until June at the earliest.

    Horse to follow
    Dancing Star
Former Stewards’ Cup winner who appreciated the step up to seven furlongs last season and might improve again when she steps up to a mile. After being desperately unlucky not to win at Goodwood, Dancing Star did really well to win the Group 3 Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster as she raced in a group away from the three others fillies that filled the frame. If she does stay the mile, her uncomplicated style will make her a force to be reckoned with in the best races against her own sex.
