I am sure this has been asked before but what does that E stand for in E tekna, does it mean that it has got anything extra?

    Context?

Tekna is a trim level within Nissan cars.

Yeah, I thought it was a trim level in the UK which includes Nissan Connect.

I'm guessing some Donkey of a dealer has put an E in front of the Tekna in an ad?

    It’s hardly an ‘e+ Tekna’?
e+ is on the uk specs with the 62kwh battery.

The car I saw is advertised as a 2016 tekna and comes up as "E TEKNA 5DR ELECTRIC" on cartell.ie, I just wondered what they "E" bit was for as it does not come up for every tekna that you put into cartell.ie.

Another tekna that I put into cartell.ie comes up simply as" TEKNA 30KWH", am I to take it that the first tekna I put in is not a 30kw version?

Whoever reg'd the car put its details in as an E. no such thing exists. Its a Leaf, tekna spec. You can get the Tekna in 24 and 30 kWh cars so be careful. Easy enough to spot the difference, if theres a photo of the GOM showing range at full.

If you look on revenue VRT calculator you will see they all have E before the spec level.

In that case its juts a designation for "Electric".

Hmmm, I wonder if they will start branding the current 40kWh car as simply the e car.
It would make sense if the 60-something kWh model is to be called the e+.
