Hi my terrier managed to tear her nail off yesterday. the bleeding stopped fairly quickly, she doesn't seem to be in pain. should I be doing anything or will it heal by itself?

    Dew claw or toe nail?
The important thing is to clean the wound and make sure to monitor it to ensure that it doesnt get infected.
Wash the paw with warm water. See if the nail is gone completely, or a bit still there.
    It should grow back.
Keep it clean. The dog will probably lick it to keep it clean too. Spray some disinfectant on it, I would do that morning and evening, and watch for any change/limping/infection, take your dog to the vet if theres any concern

thank you for that, it's her toe nail and it looks like it's all gone. she's cleaning it and I've sprayed it, so fingers crossed it will be fine.
