Guaranteed hours but no new contract.

    Hi Lads,

I have been on a 12 hours weekly contract with my job for the last few years, they have now offered me a guaranteed 40 hours per week but with no new contract to sign?

They have told me that the original letter offering the hours and my acceptance through an email to HR will be enough to guarantee me the weekly hours.

Could anyone advise me on this? I would have thought a new contract would need to be signed to make the process legal, ensuring my hours.

    Thanks all.
