    Hey lads,

    Heading to Asia for a month in July. I also need a new phone. Is there any pitfalls to buying a non global version of say a Xiaomi? and then side loading the google stuff.

    Will be in China for my first week so was thinking of grabbing the xiaomi mi9 8gb edition.. This isnt available in a global edition

    Of course I could get the 6gb global variant online here ..

    Also does anybody know if there would be much saving buying direct from a mi store instead of online ?
