    Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering has anyone worked with a college student before , to help you increase sales on their campus ?

I run adventure tours and a large portion of our guests are college going students.

I think it may be beneficial to find a student with a good manner and offer a comission.

Any thoughts, comments and advice would be much appreciated.

Also , how to recruit this person , is it a matter of a college noticeboard ??

    Thanks in advance,

    Sys

What about going directly to the student union first and seeing if they do any promotions etc that might tie in with your tours or how they deal with advertising in any promotional/marketing they send out or distribute around campus.

Or even try to get a list of the clubs and socs and target the ones that may specifically be into adventure tours, outdoor events etc.

    Thanks Axwell,

I'm thinking this might suit an energetic student to visit the campus and present this.

Time, is what really prevents me from being the contact person these days.

How to find the right student is something I'd like to hear opinions on, and any advice on wage/commission.

    Cheers ;-)

There used to be specialised campus marketing companies who focused on such projects. I would try to find some sort of agency. Recruiting the right person and incentivising them directly sounds even more hit-and-miss than using a campus marketing company would be.

    Hello Sys,

if your product can be bought online, I would recommend online marketing, the young generation are online minimum 14 hours per day using facebook and instagram, whats is a good way to achieve them.

When you create an online advertisement you can choose the people that you want to achieve, you can add all colleges names and your advertisement will appears to their followers.

You don't need pay commission and you will advertise your company name, you just have to have a nice website and easy way to them buy your products online, with options to buy with card and PayPal.

    All best

    Coffee cups

Yep. Coffee cups. The sales of coffee in colleges and Universities are absolutely insane. The cups themselves will be branded Insomnia/Costa or whatever but the white lids are a blank canvas

You need a deal with the person retailing to affix a small sticker of your company etc on the lid of each cup thus giving you a direct reach to thousands of your target market each day.

The cost to you would be very small money, and the implementation is simple once you are clear with the operator that every lid gets a sticker put on as a routine.

I wouldn’t worry about the plastic side of things, your stickers can be fully biodegradable etc

Just a thought and it’s going to be in the direct and engaged line of sight of the customer for at least 20 minutes which is priceless.

    Good luck.
