    Hi,

OpenEnergyMonitor has partnered with OpenEVSE to develop the EmonEVSE

Really tempted to purchase this charger H E R E as the second unit, for the second car.

Looks like it has all the functions and performance combined from all available chargers on the continent...

    Anyone using it,any feedback ?

    Thanks

EmonEVSE is the non-tethered version of the OpenEVSE.

Search boards for OpenEVSE. There are some posts about it.

€650 just for the untethered EmonEVSE. Madness.

    Why that !?
I'll say perfect,i will spend more time to read about it...
It has all the gadgets a proper user wants...

offtopic: i remember years ago, was looking for a house alarm...every spark recommended one specific brand versus Siemens. Siemens is too that way,th e other way, espensive, you need to be IT, you need a laptop, is very complex... Guess what: got it and i love it.

Without the cable, there is no more than €100 worth of parts in it. Even if you charge your car 100% from solar with the smart charger, the payback time is longer than the life expectancy of the charger. In other words, a bad financial decision.

rolion, did you search boards for OpenEVSE? There are at least two owners on here who paid less than half what you are talking about.
